Our Mission

We are a non-partisan community of UC alumni deeply concerned about the devastating effects of climate change. Our purpose is to educate and inspire the wider community at the ten-campus UC system to take action within the UC and beyond to address this existential threat to life on earth. We are not just Alumni for a Fossil Free UC, we are UC Alumni for the Climate.

Our Goals:

• Mobilize alumni in efforts to fight for a fossil-free UC through our four policy campaigns: 

  1. decarbonization of the UC

  2. UC dissociation from fossil fuel money

  3. embed climate education as a requirement for all UC degrees

  4. build coalition throughout UC student clubs and programs

• Engage alumni to fight for climate justice beyond the UC 

• Build community amongst stakeholders of UC Climate Policy, from alumni to students to community members 

• Build community among alumni.
