Campaign Working Groups

• Decarbonization

  • Goal: Institute climate-centric policies for UC energy, transportation, development, food, and waste.

• Dissociation

  • Goal: Dissociation from fossil fuel money by divestment of the UC investment portfolio from oppressive climate systems, divestment of fossil fuel funding for research conducted at the UC, and switching to on-campus commercial banking services that do not lend to fossil-fuel interests

• Education

  • Goal: Embed climate education as a requirement for every single UC degree, educate alumni and the wider UC community about climate change and climate justice, and educate alumni on ways beyond the UC system that they can take action. 

• Coalition Building

  • Goal: Build coalitions of different stakeholders within UCs and their communities

• Build alumni power by managing the operations of Alumni for a Fossil Free UC
